Dunlavin notes January 18

Sympathy
sympathy is extended to the family of Geraldine Deay, Spratstown who died recently following a long illness. Geraldine was the daughter of Mick and the late Mary Brady, Church Road, Dunlavin. Geraldine is mourned by her husband Seamus, daughter Niamh, son Conor , dad Mick and brother Michael father-in-law Barney and many relatives and friends. Geraldine’s funeral took place in Crookstown, may she rest in peace.

Credit Union AGM
Dunlavin Credit Union will hold its AGM on January 25th at 8pm in the Credit Union. A discussion will take place on the amalgamation of Dunlavin Credit Union and Baltinglass. It is important for members to attend this meeting.

Yoga

1916 Commemoration

Flower & Garden Club
The February meeting will take place on Wednesday 10th at 8pm. The talk will be by Potter Eleanor Swan from Russborough New members welcome, supper served.

Diary Date
The parish will run “The Cube” fundraiser in St Laurence’s complex on March 12th 2015. If you wish to participate contact Pauline 0876183903 or the Parish Office 045 401871.

West Wicklow Historical Society
West Wicklow Historical Society has launched its latest Journal. This is Journal No. 8 from the WWHS. It features articles associated with such places as Baltinglass, Dunlavin, Hollywood and Killamote, and the joint editors are Chris Lawlor and Donal McDonnell.

Badminton – has restarted on Thursday nights in the Imaal Hall at 8.30pm. New and old members welcome.

The Friendship Group – have started back on Fridays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm in the Parish Centre. New members welcome. There will be light exercises from 2.30pm. Anyone interested in the Community Alert panic button can find out more details at the Friendship Group on Fridays.
