Christmas packaging, dead deer remains and a horse have been dumped on a short stretch of road between Aughrim and Knockananna.
The packaging and refuse was spread over an area of two miles, most of which was recyclable.
A young pony no more than 3-years old was dumped in a wooded area on the top of Ballygobbin hill, it’s not known who the pony died.
Deer remains were dumped in the Knocknaguilky area of Knockananna, it is understood the animals were butched in the area, but may not have been killed there.
Wicklow County Council inconjuction with the PURE project have removed the rubbish and horse, while Coillte hve remove the deer parts.
