Congratulations to all the recipients at the Wicklow GAA Sports Stars Awards Ceremony which was held in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Saturday night. Especially Club members Dean Healy who received County Senior Footballer of the Year and Laura Manley who received Camogie Player of the Year with Donard Glen. Well done to you both.
Over the last 5 years the Ladies section in the club has progressed massively. The Senior ladies winning the Senior League and U14’s winning Division 1 All Ireland Feile in 2015. All other teams throughout the grades have achieved great awards across the board with various County and League titles over the years. All in St Patricks appreciate and thank the outgoing Ladies Chairperson Georgina Cruise who has stepped down for the amazing hard work with sheer dedication, knowledge and passion for Ladies Football and St Patricks GAA. We are proud of the joy you gave to each and everyone of us and all the kids. We are sure we will find you pitch side in the coming months supporting all teams as usual.
We wish the incoming Ladies Committee all the best for 2016: Chairperson Stephen McNulty, Secretary Caroline Courtney, Treasurer Nicola McGettigan, Registrar Peggy King and Fixtures Manager Kathryn Fox.
The 2016 Boys Juvenile Mentors Meeting is taking place this Wednesday 27th January at 8.30pm in the clubhouse. The meeting will cover Coaching Courses, Compliance, Pitch Calendar, Registration, Communication and Equipment. We expect to see all the mentors there, and look forward to a successful year ahead.

We are seeking volunteers to complete a management team for the Mens Junior B Football team for the Thursday Night Div 4 league competition. You can contact Frank Earls 086 832 6653 for more information.
The Pitch Coordinator Eddie Leonard (086) 834 9272 has advised that signs were put up this week advising pitch closure due to repairs carried out last October and the continuous wet conditions which is slowing up progress. Both pitches are closed at present. The pitches will be monitored on a week to week basis.
Don’t forget the Club Dinner Dance is on Saturday 6th February at 7.30pm with dinner at 8pm in the Grand Hotel. Tickets are €30 each, admittance with a ticket only. You can purchase tickets from Team Managers, Committee Members, Dooley Poynton Auctioneers, Fitzpatricks Bar and the Grand Hotel.
Our 2016 Last Man Standing competition (based on the National Football leagues) will be starting shortly with a prize of €400. The deadline for entries is Wednesday 27th January and entry fee is €10. 25-29th July Kellogg’s Cul Camps St Patrick’s GAA Football Camp.There was no winner of this week’s Club Lotto Jackpot of €6,900. Numbers drawn were 2, 7, 10 and 19. The bonus number was 12. Five people managed to draw sharing the prize of €250; Paddy Heffernan, Esther O’Reilly, Nicola Byrne, Alan Lawlor and Brian Byrne.
The club is urgently looking for more Lotto sellers to head out on a Saturday night in Wicklow Town. We have vacancies available due to recent retirements.
