Well done Padge McWalter on the years he proudly represented the County. A fantastic individual, gentleman and true clubman.
The Wicklow People Sport gave a fine tribute: Another good man has decided to call it a day in the Wicklow Senior football jersey. Probably one of the most intelligent footballers in the county for many years, Padge McWalter has officially announced that he is hanging up the inter-county boots.A superb passer of the ball, magically creative, the St Pat’s man always seemed to be doing the right thing on the field of play and showed remarkable courage and integrity to come back from that horrible knee injury he picked up against Carlow.
He owes the county nothing and we wish him the very best in everything he does, both inside and outside of the GAA.
Congratulations to Club Members Sean O’Callaghan and Jack Montgomery who received their All Ireland Medals with the Wicklow Under-21 hurlers in the Glendalough Hotel.
