Andrew Doyle and Pat Casey have taken the final two seats in Wicklow.

Both men were elected without reaching the quota.

Doyle took the fourth seat, while Casey took the final seat.

Speaking to wicklownews.net ,Casey said that he was ‘honoured’ to represent the people of Wicklow.

“We (Fianna Fail) haven’t had a TD in Wicklow for the last five years and it was our plan to get on this time around.

“I am now looking forward to serving the people of Wicklow at Leinster House.

The big loser on the final day was Billy Timmins who lost his seat after 19 years as a member of Leinster House.

Speaking after his election, an emotional Andrew Doyle reflected on what has been a difficult few days and the loss of Billy Timmins as a TD.

“My overriding emotion is that of relief, it has been a difficult few days but I am glad to have gotten over the line.”

Doyle said it was ‘difficult’ to see his former party colleague , Timmins lose out.
