Gardai in Wicklow town are investigating two burglaries which occurred on Saturday evening at Wicklow Heights.
Two homes had the doors forced open and a number of items were stolen between the hours of 6.30pm and 9pm.
In the Marlton road area up to four cars had items taken from them around the same time.
It is understood the thieves may have used a hacking device which can remotely open car doors.
Gardai are advising car owners to double check they have locked their vehicles and take out all valuables.
