Patrick & Lyndsey from Inner City Helping Homeless came down on Sunday morning 31st Jan and gave a heart warming and a heart wrenching talk on their work with the Homeless. They spoke of the dangers of their jobs but also of the difference they make to others. Patrick spoke of individual incidents where lives were saved because of their intervention. Lyndsey also spoke of the people who are addicted and living on the streets for years and of the success’s where they were helped and some of those people are now volunteers.
They informed us how ordinary families who now find themselves homeless, through depression, breakdown of marriages & loss of jobs, where people find themselves in desperate situations. Shockingly Lyndsey spoke about students who find themselves homeless with no money for accommodation. The Inner City Helping Homeless don’t ask questions of anyone’s circumstances while treating all as human beings and helping them with food, warm clothes, sleeping bags and the lucky ones with a bed for the night.
People like Patrick & Lyndsey are volunteers and part of a team that go out through the streets every night. The Inner City Helping Homeless are the HERO’s on our streets, every night regardless of the weather.
We thank you all once again for your generosity & kindness. Thank you for your help
