Another motorist was left shaken in Wexford this morning, after a car with people impersonating Gardai tried to pull her over.
The incident happened on the Main Courtown Road when the car, reported to be similar to a Ford Mondeo used by Gardai, pulled in behind the motorist and began flashing their lights repeatability at the driver.
When the motorist refused to pull over the car proceeded to drive up behind the car, while flashing their lights in an attempt to get the car to pull over.
The driver refused to pull over and thankfully was able to get away from the car safely.
Last week, a similar incident took place in Murrintown when a man impersonating a Garda forced a woman to pull over before he beat and robbed her.
At the time, the woman said she had pulled over because she has seen a blue flashing light on the car.
It is not known yet if the two incidents are related but Gardai are advising the public to be vigilant and if they experience anything similar, then they are advised to drive to their nearest Garda station and report the incident.
