Glenealy Tidy Towns are delighted to announce that all 15 candidates in the Wicklow constituency have pledged not to erect election posters in the Village.
We very much appreciate that they have taken the time to engage with us and that they have clearly shown their commitment to the residents of Glenealy. In return we would ask residents to thank all candidates when they knock on your door in the coming weeks.
Several other towns and villages have followed the example set down by Glenealy and others around the country.
Spokesperson for the Glenealy Tidy Towns, Ronan Mullen stated that ‘We would encourage other Tidy Towns Committees around the country to cease the opportunity and declare their village a ‘Poster Free Zone”
