It has been a privilege to represent the people of Wicklow and East Carlow over the last number of years. I am very grateful for the courtesy and support that I received in my time as an elected representative. I always did what I believed was the right thing in the interest of the common good. I have no regrets about voting against the legalisation of abortion which resulted in my expulsion from Fine Gael. Standing for what one believes in and commitments given will always be central for me. I wish those elected to represent the constituency every good luck and hopefully policy decisions will be taken with the aim of improving the lives of all.
