Dun Laoghaire RNLI rescue stranded dog

Dun Laoghaire

Dun Laoghaire RNLI coxswain Mark McGibney and mechanic Kieran O’Connell were on hand to assist the Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard team earlier today for a casualty of the canine kind.
A slip off the pier at low tide left “Ethel” stranded with injuries to her paws from trying to scramble to safety.
Using the boarding-boat for the All-Weather lifeboat, they were directed to the East Pier by the DLCGand after ten minutes of reassurance were able to lift the dog into the boat and back to safety.
