Photography Exhibition
As part of our 1916 Commemoration within the village we plan to host a photography exhibition. This will comprise of photographs from as far back as we can source. This is where we need the help of the community, we know there must be some excellent material out there. We promise just to borrow the photograph for a few hours or at most overnight and we will scan it and return immediately.
Dunlavin Camera Club are taking the lead on collecting the material and organising the exhibition. If you have photographs you are willing to allow us copy please contact either Colette Mooney 085-1751627 or Aisling Grace 0879627389.
Solas Walk in Hollywood – A family walk in aid of Solas, Dunlavin takes place on Sunday March 20th in Hollywood forest. There will be different walks starting at 12 noon with a 12Km walk, 1pm for a 6Km walk and 2pm for a 2Km walk. Refreshments will be served.
Arts Festival
This years festival takes June 17th, 18th and 19th 2016. The next meeting takes place on Saturday April 2nd at 12 noon in Dunlavin Inn. Anyone who wishes to get involved is welcome to come alone.

Teen Scene
Dunlavin Teen Scene – will continue in the Parish centre every Tuesday from7-9pm. This facility is for young people attending 1st to 6th year in secondary school and will run throughout the school terms. There will be an initial set up fee of €20 (max €30 per family) and then a weekly cost of €2 per person. So please come along for fun & chat!!

Flower & Garden Club
The April meeting will take place on Wednesday 13th at 8pm in the Jonathan Swift Hall. The Gala demonstration will be by Christine Hughes. New members welcome, supper served.
West Wicklow Historical Society
West Wicklow Historical Society has launched its latest Journal. This is Journal No. 8 from the WWHS. It features articles associated with such places as Baltinglass, Dunlavin, Hollywood and Killamote, and the joint editors are Chris Lawlor and Donal McDonnell. Journals available in Ed’s Veg Shop, Dunlavin.
The Friendship Group
The friendship group have started back on Fridays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm in the Parish Centre. New members welcome. There will be light exercises from 2.30pm. Anyone interested in the Community Alert panic button can find out more details at the Friendship Group on Fridays.
We extend our sympathy to Susan & Danny McCarthy and family on the recent death of Susan’s mother Catherine Richardson. We also offer our sympathy to Jim Byrne and family, Gormanstown on the death of Kathleen Byrne, Gormanstown. May they both rest in peace.

St Kevins Community College – is currently enrolling for 2 Fetac level 5 courses beginning September 2016 – Business & IT Administration. Both are 1 year courses and will run for four mornings and three afternoons per week. Young and mature students are welcome to apply. Part-time learners will be facilitated. St. Oliver Plunkett Pilgrimage 2016 – will be taking pilgrims to Lough Derg from Dublin via Navan and Cavan. These pilgrimages will take place in June, July and August. Further details are available on the Church Notice Board.
