Storm Jake makes his way across the country

Storm Jake is making its way across Ireland and a yellow wind warning remains in place across the country, with gusts of up to 110 kilometres an hour forecast.

A yellow snow and ice warning has also been issued and road users in Wicklow and surrounding counties are being advised to exercise extreme this morning.

Heavy downpours are also expected through the early part of the day.

Power outages reported in Killcoole and Blessington.

The Wicklow gap and Sally gap should be avoided after heavy snowfalls on high ground.

Keep away from sea cliffs and coastal areas.
