The mother and daughter were found badly malnourished and living in desperate conditions according to a spokesperson for the association.

They were found living in a dirty garden and were extremely underweight, with their bones visible through their skin.

ISPCA Chief Inspector Conor Dowling, who responded to the call, said that the two dogs would not have survived much longer.

The two dogs, who have been named ‘Daisy’ and ‘Diva’ were taken into care by the RSPCA and immediately received veterinary care.

Inspector Dowling said: “It was immediately apparent that both dogs were severely malnourished, all of their bones were visible through their skin.”

“I’m just glad that we received the call in time”,

“These dogs were in such poor condition, I’m not sure how much longer they would have survived.” he continued.

A new home has been found for Diva but the association are looking for a family to adopt Daisy, who they describe as being a very friendly and outgoing little dog that will make a fantastic addition to any family.
