Aughrim Juvenile Notes

The Aughrim U8 & U10 hurlers had their first outing of the year at a blitz in Aughrim last Friday night. Tinahely, Barndarrig and The Arklow Rocks attended for the occasion. Aughrim had 2 U8 Teams and 2 U10 teams in action. The U10 played some great hurling and learnt a lot from their games while the U8’s struggled against a much bigger Arklow Rocks team. It was again great to see some new faces playing their first competitive games. The most important thing for us is to get kids enjoying hurling and with the large attendances at the blitz and at training they certainly seem to be doing this. Role on more games. Thanks to Aine, Diarmuid, John and Adam for helping out with the refereeing and to the coaches for their continued work with the kids.

Pool Success
Congratulations to O’Toole’s pool team that beat Kiltegan in the final of the Wicklow league 2016 on Thursday night last.  The team is lead by captain Brian Doyle, Declan Keegan, James O’Toole, Ollie Tackes, Paddy Byrne, Jason Barker and Kevin O’Neill. Well done lads.
