Match reports

Wicklow Camogie Feile

The U14 Camogie squad won the Wicklow Féile qualifiers on Sat, 23rd April. There was great excitement in Páirc Emmet Bhré as the girls beat Carnew, drew with Knockanana, beat Avondale, accounted for Aughrim in the semi-final, and eventually overcame Donard to top the day. Mentors and parents were thrilled by the sequences of skill, teamwork and spirit.

They are the first Bray team to win the Wicklow Féile. Bhí an-áthas ar Paul Sweeney freisin a chabhraigh go mór linn ar an lá.

U10 Girls football blitz

Our first Wicklow football blitz together with the U8’s. A perfect morning for the 11 visiting teams. We had two U10 teams and played 6 matches against St Pats, Roundwood and Newtown and finished with 5 wins and a draw. This was the first outing for a number of girls and after the initial nerves in the first game they got into to their stride after that. Great performances from Ciara, Erica, Kate, Rachel and Tara but special meantion to Teagan on her first game who was great in goal and Ruby who scored too many points!

The Bray Emmets 2008 girls took part in their first Wicklow Football blitz on Saturday in Old Conna. A wonderful morning was had by all the girls as they enjoyed games against St Paricks, An Tochar and Arklow.

A big thank you must go out to all the parents for their great support both on the side line and in providing refreshments to all the visiting player and mentors.
