Hot Spot Music Club: Max Garcia Conover: Folk (USA)
Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour.
Max Garcia Conover grew up in western New York state and started listening to folk songwriters. He himself has written several hundred songs since then, from delicate impressionistic story songs, to full on foot stomping ones, combining intricate fingerstyle guitar work with a gruff voice, a suitcase drum and a lot of words.
Now based in Portland, Maine, he travels the USA and has shared the stage with famous and well regarded bands. In 2012, he was voted Maine’s Best New Act.
