Sunday 08 May 2016 – Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney will be celebrating La na gClubanna. Come join us in Pearse’s Park at 1.30pm, where we will celebrate the Commemoration, and rededication of Pearse’s Park in memory of the Pearse brothers, followed by an exciting family day and BBQ. There will be no fixtures on this day to allow all club members to fully participate in the event. You can’t beat being there!!
AGB Members’ Centenary Raffle tickets are now on sale. Tickets are €2 each or a book of 6 for €10. Excellent prizes are on offer, with 1st prize being a Weekend Away for Two. There is a seller’s prize of an Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney hoodie also. Please contact any club member if you would like to buy some tickets. The draw will be held on Sunday May 8th, at our La na Clubana celebrations.
County Development Draw tickets are currently on sale for €50. Please contact any club official if you would like to buy one. Please ensure tickets are returned to the club by the 15th of May.
Congratulations to Morrigan Canavan, Liadan Kavanagh, Aoife Kavanagh and Abbie Healy who are Leinster Shield winners playing for the U14 Wicklow team, missing on the day was Georgia Earls.
AGB Senior Ladies secured a successful win over Baltinglass on Sunday, playing a tough match with 13 determined players. The final score was AGB 5-3 to Baltinglass 3-8. The Mens Junior B team had a win over Annacurragh on Thursday evening, final score was 1-11 to 1-4. The AGB Girls U16 Division 1 travelled to Bray during the week and finished with a final score of AGB 4-5 to Bray Emmets 1-6. The Girls U16 Division 3 hosted Eire Og mid week with final score Eire Of 2-5 to AGB 1-2. AGB U12 Div 4 girls hosted Rathnew in Ballymoney, with a great second half seeing the girls come from behind to win by 1 point, making it 3 wins from 3 in the league.
