Bray vs Lucan Sarsfields
A home match against Lucan Sarsfield this week and a win was badly needed to get us moving up the league table. Gearoid Murphy was to be our outstanding player in this one finishing with 1.8 in total on the night. We opened the scoring with a great point from Michael Brick Walsh, and Gearoid added a couple more along with a well taken goal, Lucan responded with some lovely scores of their own. Mikey and Christy added points and Mark Lennon blazed one over from close range, we lead 1.9 to 7 at the break. The second half saw a huge improvement in our performance and Padge Doyle and Willie Keane stepped up work rate, winning some great ball around the half forward line, Mikey and Philip Collins were winning the midfield battle, Enda Forde was replaced by Ronan O’Brien who made some great clearances, catching ball from all angles, Paddy Lee was introduced for Brick and also played well. A great goal from Willie Keane sealed the victory, the final score line, 2.21 to 1.13.

Bray vs Clann na Gael Fontenoy
We travelled over to Ringsend last Sunday morning to Clann na Gael Fontenoy to complete busy schedule having played Lucan Sarsfield on Wednesday night. We started well, Liam Kenny must have put the “fear of God” in the full back as he had 2.1 on the board in the blink of an eye, Paddy Lee added two points and Padge Doyle one more and we were looking very good to collect the two points on offer. Clanna Gaol eventually got scores on the board with a couple of good points and in fairness to them they settled into the game as the half went on. Our lads were in excellent form with Willie Keane, Eoin McCormack and Philip Collins dominating around the mid-field and half forward line pilling on the scores. Willie Keane had to leave the field with a head injury and was replaced by Michael Walsh. We lead at half time 2.10 to 1.5 and playing some lovely hurling throwing the ball around very nicely, Mikey fired over a couple of points and a long range free from Lukie ended in the back of the net and we looked home and hosed at this stage. Peter Walsh was back after his appendix operation and came on for Padge midway through the second half. A short time later Paddy rattled the net and Kenny another and super sub Peter Kieley fired 1.1 in the last ten minutes after replacing Paddy. There will be tougher days ahead but non the less 6.21 to 3.9 was some tally in any game, Conor Doherty and Liam Benville can’t get enough hurling at the moment, and Seanie Maloney back to his best at corner back, Conor McNally came in for Peter O’Reilly in the goal and did well. Next Saturday is the big day, the final of the Leinster league v Naomh Eoin of Carlow in Abbottstown centre of excellence at 5 o clock, don’t miss that one.
Team: Conor MacNally, Seanie Maloney, Ronan O’Brein, Paul Barry, Liam Benville, Luke Maloney(1.), Karl Lacey, Philip Collins(3), Eoin Mc Cormack(2), Willie Keane(1), Padge Doyle(3), Conor Doherty, Paddy Lee(1.2), Liam Kenny(3.1), Michael Lee(6), Michael Walsh(1) Peter Walsh(1) Peter Kiely(1.1) Cathal O’Dualachain and Danny Eglington.
Bray Vs Knockananna
The U16 Camogie Team beat Knockananna last Wednesday May 18th to emerge as Wicklow League winners. The girls have had a good season to date and are improving all the time.
They won 4 of their 6 Dublin League games and have won all of their Wicklow League games to date. The Wicklow Championship will be our next test and we hope the girls will show their mettle in that contest as well.
Please ensure you all attend training – it will help your skills and is a great way to take the mind off the studies for an hour!

Bray Emmets v St Brigids
We travelled to St Brigids in Castleknock for what started out as a lovely day. We had only just started a match v Mearnog when the heavens opened and we had to run to the clubhouse. Some of the teams decided to leave but despite being soaked to the skin and cold the girls got back out for a quick game against St Brigids. At least it was on an all weather pitch but it was still very slippy. The run around helped warm the team up but Brigids managed the conditions better than us this time. Hope for better conditions on the return match in Bray.
