Womens Mini Marathon Coffee Morning

Peggy Keogh, Anne Richardson, Ann Clancy & Sile Horan are so grateful for all the support for their Coffee morning in the Hollywood Centre for their Womens Mini Marathon  fundraiser for St Lukes’s Hospital. They raised €800 on the day and Sile raised €200 online. Unbelievable …………..They are SO grateful.

Raffle winners were  Hamper , Monica White , Bt Whiskey , Marie Brophy, Bt Gin , Marie Cronin, Bt Wine, Rita Flanagan , Candle Holder , Ann  Slattery , Collection  of Homemade Jams , Margaret Reid.

Many thanks to all who baked  & donated on the day, it was really appreciated

 

Concert in Hollywood

Plans are afoot for a concert comprising of all talent in the community. To include, singing, dancing, music, recitation and comedy. This will take place in the Hollywood centre on Friday the 14th October. For further details contact Richard Burke 0872885637 also the Parish Office 045 864528.

 

Hollywood Fair Book

The Hollywood Fair takes place this year from 18th to 21st August.  As in previous years a Hollywood Fair book will be published to coincide with the event.   Anyone who would like to contribute an article or photographs for inclusion in this year’s book should get in touch with Johnny Glennon at 087/2373023 or email him at seanmagleannain@gmail.com as soon as possible.

 

Blessing of Graves in Hollywood Cemetery

The Blessing of the Graves is on Friday 17th June at 7.30 pm

 

Dunlavin Scout Group

We are currently recruiting new committed leaders for our troop from all local townlands. We are a volunteer based organisation, working with children. Full training is provided. If you think you would be interested in volunteering, please call 0862632859 for more information.

Collection Day is on the 3rd Saturday of every month 10am to 12 noon in the Car Park.

 

Hollywood Tidy Town

With the judging for the national competition only a couple of weeks away, we’re asking anyone with an hour to spare to come out and give us a hand.  ALL help is welcome and greatly appreciated, as this is our busiest time and we need all hands on deck to get the village looking it’s best.  We meet in the carpark every Wed @ 7pm and at 10am for the next couple of Saturdays.

Sports Day

Hollywood Annual Field Day takes place on Sunday 10th July. Donations towards Bottle Stall and Wheel Of Fortune would be greatly appreciated. RAFFLE Cards will be sent out within next week. All support and help needed.  If you can help in anyway please come along or give your name /contact number to any G.A.A .I.C.A or PARENTS COUNCIL member. “Many hands make light work”

Fashion Show

Pre 50 s and a 1916 Theme. Takes place on Saturday 16th.July. In Hollywood Centre at 7.30pm. Please keep this date in your Diary.  Always a very enjoyable night.

 

Friendship Club

Friendship Club meets Every Wednesday from 2.15pm to 4.15pm. New members always welcome, Please call in for a Game of Cards, Bingo, a chat and refreshments, your company is always appreciated. New members always welcome.
