Man (36) killed the bike he was riding collided with a barrier outside Greystones

A 36-year-old male has died in a single vehicle collision at the Charlesland roundabout outside Greystones this evening.

It is understood that the motor bike he was driving collided with a barrier and burst into flames.

The accident happened shortly before 6.30 pm and no other vehicle was involved.

Emergency services raced to the scene but the man was pronounced dead a short time after.

The section of road remains closed as Gardai carry out forensic examinations and local diversions are in place.
