National schools in Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Cork and Carlow have been evacuated today following hoax bomb scares.
A call was received at Milford national school in Cork, which led to the school being evacuated.
Gardai and Fire services attended the school and declared it safe.
Gardai have confirmed that there have been evacuations in Dublin-suburbs Donnameade and Queen of Angels Primary School in the Sandyford.
Askea Girls school in Carlow town has also been closed and children sent home.
The same has been reported in Waterford and Cork.
Up to seven incidents of the same nature were reported in Northern Ireland yesterday.
