Simon Harris is the Minister for health in new Cabinet

Simon Harris has been appointed Minister for health in the new cabinet.

Enda Kenny returned as Taoiseach as the new government was formed this evening.

Kenny was elected Taoiseach, with 59 votes in favour and 49 votes against, in the fourth Dáil vote since the General Election.

Frances Fitzgerald – Tánaiste and Minister for Justice
Michael Noonan – Minister for Finance
Simon Harris – Minister for Health
Katherine Zappone – Minister for Children
Simon Coveney – Minister for Housing
Shane Ross – Minister for Transport
Michael Creed – Minister for Agriculture
Leo Varadkar – Minister for Social Protection
Paschal Donohoe – Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform
Mary Mitchell O’Connor – Minister for Jobs
Charlie Flanagan – Minister for Foreign Affairs
Richard Bruton – Minister for Education & Skills
Denis Naughten – Minister for Communications
Heather Humphreys – Regional Development, Rural Affairs and Arts and Culture
Paul Kehoe – Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Defence
Finian McGrath – Super Junior who will attend Cabinet and have special responsibility for disability
