Dog owners are being warned to make sure to keep their pets safe following the attempted theft of a dog in Rathnew this evening.
The Wicklow Lost and Found Animals reported a woman attempting to steal a dog at Seaview Heights in the village.
The woman was chased from the area and fled going towards Glenealy in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer with a Wexford registration.
The Jack Russell pictured above is missing from the Cuckoo lane area of Rathnew this evening but it is not known if the two cases are linked.
