As pollinators decline over Ireland, never has the recording of bumblebees been so important. Join us for a short talk at the Education Centre and a walk around the Upper Lake area of Glendalough and learn how to identify these furry little insects.
Where: Meeting at the Education Centre, Miners’ Road by the Upper Lake, Glendalough.

Practicalities: Adults and older children only. No dogs. This event is free of charge but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow County Council) has a €4 charge. There will be a short presentation about the ecology and identification of bumblebees at the Education Centre. This will be followed by a short, easy walk around the Upper lake area of Glendalough to search for and find bumblebees. The event should conclude by 12.30 PM.
