A new report released by consultants Savills Ireland has found that Wicklow is one of the most popular locations for people looking to buy country homes.
The data for the €1m-plus price bracket suggests that people who want to purchase a house in the country still want to be close to a main city.
Cork County was also a popular location according to the report and that would suggest that people who want the benefits of country living also want the benefits of being close to a main city.
The biggest buyers of country homes are still domestic, but the report also found that their was an increasing interest from the U.K and America.
