Culture Bus

The culture bus will leave Dunlavin at 12 noon on Friday July 29th to visit Altamont Gardens, Tullow and proceed to Newtownbarry House in Bunclody for the opening of The Print Exhibition at 5.30pm. Return to  Dunlavin for 9.30pm. Telephone 0879693960 if interested.

Sympathy

Sympathy  is extended to the family of Maura Rossiter who passed on May 10th. Maura was buried in Ballycullane, New Ross and is mourned by her sister Eileen Walsh and her large family. May she Rest in Peace.

Olympics

Congratulations to Helen Kearney on qualifying for the Para Dressage team for the Para Olympics in Rio in September. The games take pace from September 7th to 18th and Helen will be part of a 44 strong group to travel. She will ride Rock and Roll 2 and is training hard for the event.

Camogie Camp

Wicklow Camogie are holding a 3 day summer camp in Hollywood on August 15th to 17th from 10:30am to 1:30pm. The camp will cater for 8 to 12 year old girls.Cost per child is €30. For further information and to book a place contact Eve on 0851128669

Rathsallagh Golf Club

Rathsallagh Golf Club is delighted to announce our re launch night will be taking place on Friday the 15th July. Complimentary buffet from 8pm and music by Solid Gold. Dunlavin’s Flower and Harvest Festival

 This year’s Flower and Harvest Festival will take place the weekend beginning Friday, 4th November.

Dunlavin Scout Group

We are currently recruiting new committed leaders for our troop from all local townlands. We are a volunteer based organisation, working with children. Full training is provided. If you think you would be interested in volunteering, please call 0862632859 for more information.

Dunlavin 1916 Centenary pins: Beautifully designed pins are now available to buy for only €3 each or 2 for €5. The design is based in the 1798 monument on Dunlavin Green. These badges are a limited item so be quick to purchase. It could be a beautiful gift to a family member or to loved ones abroad, or simply to remember the amazing day experienced on May 8th. Available to buy from Ed’s Fruit and Veg or any Forum Committee Member. All proceeds go to Dunlavin & District Forum.

 

Cancer Support

The Irish Cancer Society’s – is currently seeking volunteer drivers from Co. Wicklow to drive local patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in Dublin hospitals. Driver expenses are paid. If you’re interested, please telephone Rebecca on 01/2316642 or email transport@irishcancer.ie
