Our U12 hurlers travelled to Greystones last Monday evening to take on Eire Og in the league. St. Pats were hoping to gain revenge for a 1 point defeat earlier in the season and like the first game, this turned out to be another thrilling affair. After a slow start Pats rallied impressively to turn over at half time with a 2 point lead, but faced into a strong wind for the second half. However, some heroic defending coupled with outstanding score taking ensured a well-deserved victory on a scoreline of 4-3 to 3-4. The team on the night was Aarron Kavanagh, Sam Culleton, Jim Stafford, Rory Hennessy, Billy Joe Connors, John O Brien, Tom Davis, Joe Davis, Fionn Greene, Denis O Brien, Bill O Brien, Tom Phelan, Johnno Mooorehouse, Chris Bouchier, Fionn Laffan, John O Brien, Matt Gleeson. Best of luck to the team next Saturday when they travel to the new GAA National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown to take part in an U12 Leinster Blitz. The lads will play Fenians (Kilkenny), Ballinamere (Offaly) and Monageer (Wexford).
