Arklow girls pick up silver in the All Ireland Community Games

Congratulations to Erin Connolly (15) and her friend Ella Healy (13) who came second in the All Ireland Community Games under 16 group singing competition in Athlone on Sunday 14th August.

The friends were representing Arklow Community Games for County Wicklow.

They qualified at the Wicklow final in April, coming first in their section.

The girls received silver medals on Sunday having came an extremely close second to a six piece group from St. Conleth’s, Kildare in a twelve group competition.

Both girls are students of Mary Walsh who helped them prepare for the competition.

Erin is also a member of the Penston Vocal Academy. Both girls attend St.Mary’s College Arklow and are also members of the very successful, award winning senior choir at the school.
