Meet Kylie who was found collapsed on a Cork street last Saturday night the 30th of July.
DAWG (Dog Action Welfare Group) describe her as one of the worst cases they had witnessed and believed she may have escaped from the situation she was living in.
A spokesperson for the group told Wicklownews.net “She is a walking skeleton….literally skin on bone…you can see her whole backbone and hip bones. She is just craving affection. She is on a high calorie ‘critical care’ veterinary food and being feed small meals often to try and get her stomach used to food. She gobbles it like she will never see another bite. She absolutely adores having a soft blanket to sleep on. She sleeps and rests a lot but already shows so much affection considering the horrendous state in which she was found. Poor dog couldn’t have got like that if she was just straying….she’d have found something to eat. I’d say she must have been purposefully starved and somehow escaped or was dumped.”
