Wicklow Town Coastal Cliff Walk

To celebrate Heritage week Friends of the Murrough are organising a walk on Sunday 21st August from 2 to 4 pm.

The main aim of the Week is to promote awareness of our built natural and cultural heritage thereby encouraging its conservation and preservation.  It is part of European Heritage Days, a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Union.

Participants meet at the Glen Turn car park, Coast Road, above Wicklow Golf Club at 2pm, and the walk will set off from here. At Bride’s Head a talk will be given by a member of the group, outlining some of the interesting features of Lime-Kiln Bay. While there will be guides on the day this is a difficult walk, narrow in some parts, so children must be strictly supervised. This walk is not suitable for those with limited mobility.  If we’re lucky we might spot some seals, so bring along binoculars if you have some.
