The Enterprise Town Initiative is sponsored by Bank of Ireland and Arklow branch manager Derek Tobin is delighted and overwhelmed by the support the event has been getting. “We are expecting a truly fantastic event this weekend, which is down to the unbelievable support from all sectors of the community in Arklow. We have amazing prizes to give away including Leinster Rugby Tickets, 4 balls to Arklow Golf Club, hampers from Next Door and ASL Safety & Training, Schools colouring & short story competitions sponsored by Glenhaven Foods and of course the main exhibitors prize from eConsult Ireland worth over €2,000, which two local organisations will benefit from. Irish Rail has also been very generous in giving free parking at Arklow Railway Station to anyone attending the event on Friday or Saturday”.
On Saturday morning doors open at 11am for the Community & Sport Expo, with a special performance from the Frances Ryan’s School of Dance, before guest of honour and GAA legend Tyrone Manager Mickey Harte takes to the stage. No doubt he will be in full swing in advance of the All Ireland Football Final replay scheduled for later that day.
