Irelands Biggest Coffee Morning – took place in the Parish Centre on Sept 15th. A total of €1,100 was raised and will go to St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh. Thank you kindly for your support! Raffle winners were Sinead Beirne, Luke Kearney, John Bell, Madeline Adams, Bridget Birchall, Christine Moore, Dermot Heatley, Orla Kinahan, Willie Whelan, Carmel Caplis, Lyle Hood, Eleanor Beattie, Mary Parke, George Coleborn and Margaret Lynott.

 

Youth Choir – any teenagers who are interested in joining a choir are welcome to come along to the Parish centre on Thursday, Sept 29th at 7pm sharp! For further

West Wicklow Cancer Support – drop-in meeting on Thursday 29th Sept at 7.30pm in the Coimin Centre, Blessington. It will be an interactive evening. All are welcome and feel free to bring a friend. 

Race Night – Get your horses in training for the Forum’s Race night on October 8th. Proceeds will go towards upgrading the Christmas lights which greatly enhance the town during the festive season. Horses can be purchased for €10 from any member of the forum.

REMINDER: – Only 50 tokens left to collect before this Monday. Please help!  Scoil Nicoláis Naofa are looking for tokens from the Daily Mail to get a Weather Station for the school. There is 1 token available every day and 2 in the Mail on Sunday. Tokens can be left into the school/Parish office. Thank you in advance.
Dunlavin Flower Festival 2016

 

We are holding our Flower – Harvest Festival, on the weekend of the 4th – 6th November, 2016. Two years ago the event surpassed our expectations yet again and the response of all those who took part and visited both churches was unbelievable. We hope that you would consider being a part of it.

 

Applications Forms – are available from the Parish Office and at the back of the Church. You might know someone who would like to take part – spread the word.

 

Categories are as follows:

Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner’s, Schools, Novelty & Groups.

 

Children (5 – 7yrs, 8 – 10 & 11+)

Prizes: – will include trophy and some prize money. Some sponsorship available for flowers if required.

 

Dunlavin Teen Scene – will return to the Parish Centre for 13-17 year olds on Tuesday, October 4th from 7-9pm. For details contact the Parish Centre or Michelle @ 086-8346170

Westside Community Games

Westside Community Games will regrettably be dissolved within 2 weeks if a committee cannot be formed.

Retirement Party

To mark the retirement of Dr Mary Kearney’s after 30 years of service as GP in Dunlavin, Donard, Hollywood and surrounding areas a social evening in Rathsallagh Golf Club on Friday 30th September @ 8pm. All are welcome. 

 

50th Birthday Celebrations

St. Kevin’s Community College will celebrate its 50th birthday this year. It is proposed to have a celebration on Saturday  November 19th at 7pm in the school. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday October 4th at 8.30 pm in  Burke’s lounge to organise the event. Past pupils are asked to spread the word to former class mates.
