Irish Rail staff in Wicklow town are appealing for the public’s assistance following the theft of a trailer from their storage yard last night.
The incident happened shortly after 8.30 pm when up to two men lifted the gates into the yard of their posts and stole an ifor Williams flatbed trailer.
CCTV footage shows at least two men lifting the gates up before making their getaway with the trailer in what is believed to be a Ford Galaxy.
Gardai have been notified of the incident and anyone who might have noticed anything suspicious in the Station Road area between 8 and 9 last night or anyone that has information about the incident are asked to contact Gardai in Wicklow on (0404) 67107
