CARING FOR CARERS TRAINING COURSES NOW ON
FOR THOSE LOOKING AFTER PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA AT HOME
Courses are being run by Saint Joseph’s Shankill.
Courses will be run over one day or two evenings.
Day Courses
Saturday 24 September 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
Thursday 6 October 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
Saturday 29 October 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
Friday 11 November 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
Evening Courses
Wednesday, 12 October and Thursday, 13 October, 2016
7.30 pm to 9.30 pm
Courses will offer support through knowledge and information.
Respite services available to allow carers to participate.
Training is free of charge.
Courses will include:
Information about dementia.
How best to communicate with someone living with dementia.
How to manage your stress and worries.
Where to access support, services or help.
Courses will be divided into male and female groups.
Training will provide dementia specific training.
Carers will gain deeper understanding of feelings and needs of people with dementia.
