East Coast FM News reports Gardaí have seized seven stolen cars, three of them in County Wicklow, as part of a crackdown on organised crime in the east of the country.
Operation Thor has been targeting a gang stealing cars from outside people’s homes in the Leinster area. Searches in Wicklow, Wexford Dublin and Meath yesterday all resulted in stolen goods being found.
Gardaí stopped and searched a car in County Wexford yesterday afternoon and recovered stolen car parts. In a follow-up operation at a premises in Wicklow, three stolen cars were recovered.
Three vehicles were also recovered County Meath, – one car was partially dismantled. 80 thousand euro worth of cannabis was also seized during the operation. One man in his 50’s has been arrested.
