Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Dehila Cummiskey, Drummin, Clonegal who died during the week, her remains were removed to Carnew on Monday for mass followed by burial in Tomacork cemetery.

KNITTING FOR THE COOMBE HOSPITAL
The collection of blankets, booties, hats, mittens for the Coombe Hospital will take place in Carnew Community Care at 3pm on Wednesday 9th November. A big thank you for all those knitting/crochet for this worthy cause. All items can be left into the Community Care before that date, all welcome to attend for the presentation.
CARNEW AND DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL SHOW SOCIETY
The Carnew and District Agricultural Show Society met recently to discuss the future of the show. Help is what is needed if the show is to run in the future, it was decided to hold a public meeting in The Corner House Carnew on Monday 7th November at 8.30pm. Please come and offer your support to get the show on the road again. It was agreed the show is an important event in the Carnew area.
TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
On Sunday October 23 the walk is the Sean Linehan Walk, Aughrim (Grade B 12k, 3 hours approx). Meeting in Tinahely 10.00 or Aughrim at 10.30.
Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.
The annual Tomacork cabaret will take place on Friday 11th November in Coollattin Golf Club, admission €5 all welcome to come along to a very enjoyable night.
SALE OF WORK
The annual sale of work will take place on Friday 28th October in Colaiste Bhride Carnew at 7pm with the usual tea, bottle stall, vegetables, cakes, raffles and much more, all welcome to come along.
The next bingo will be on 23rd October at 2.30pm and 6th November, many thanks to everyone for their support to date.
