West Wicklow Cancer Support – in honour of breast cancer awareness month are hosting an evening on 27th October in the Coimin Centre, Blessington with cancer survivor and renowned author Cathy McCarthy. Our evening is entitled ‘Not the Year you had Planned’ and starts at 7.30pm. This evening is open to all as breast cancer can affect anyone. We look forward to seeing you there on the night.

Road Closure – On Sunday, October 23rd the road from Gormanstown Church to Gilltown Cross will be closed from 9.30am-5.00pm due to a motor rally.

Dunlavin Flower – Harvest Festival – Sponsorship

If you would like to be part of the Festival this year and you are NOT a flower arranger, you can do so by sponsoring someone to do an arrangement for you, maybe in memory of a loved one. All you have to do is make a donation for the flowers and your name and your loved one’s name together with the arranger’s name will all be displayed beside the arrangement. Contact Pauline at

Dunlavin Flower Festival 2016

We are holding our Flower – Harvest Festival, on the weekend of the 4th – 6th November, 2016. Two years ago the event surpassed our expectations yet again and the response of all those who took part and visited both churches was unbelievable. We hope that you would consider being a part of it.

Applications Forms – are available from the Parish Office and at the back of the Church. You might know someone who would like to take part – spread the word.

Categories are as follows:

Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner’s, Schools, Novelty & Groups.

Children (5 – 7yrs, 8 – 10 & 11+)

Prizes: – will include trophy and some prize money. Some sponsorship available for flowers if required.

Dunlavin Teen Scene – will return to the Parish Centre for 13-17 year olds on Tuesday, October 4th from 7-9pm. For details contact the Parish Centre or Michelle @ 086-8346170

50th Birthday Celebrations

St. Kevin’s Community College will celebrate its 50th birthday this year. It is proposed to have a celebration on Saturday November 19th at 7pm in the school. Past pupils are asked to spread the word to former class mates. Anyone interested in getting involved is invited to attend. For more information contact 0879693960
