Hollywood Fair

Hollywood Whist

Winners on Monday 26th were, Top Score: Jean Whelan. Other winners: Lar Corcoran, Mona Corcoran, Freda Coyle, Frank Gunning, Carmel Tutty, Margaret Clarke, Kathleen Hanlon, Rose Zeller and Kathleen Lawler.

 

Hollywood Tidy Towns

The results of the national competition were released on Monday last 26th, the committee are delighted with the 13 point increase received, the work was also acknowledged by being awarded the ‘Endeavour Award’.  We would like to thank everyone in the community for their continued support, hard work, and generosity, without it we wouldn’t have achieved the result and award.  Looking forward to continuing to work with you all again in the coming year and hopefully our efforts will reap the rewards again in 2017.  Copies of the competition report  is on display on the notice boards at the Church & Centre, in both Pubs and in Daly’s.  Our Sat work mornings have restarted meeting every week at 10am, we always welcome new volunteers, no matter what your skill is, we can use it!!!

 

Community Concert

Ongoing meetings and preparations are taking place for a forthcoming event of local Talent which is scheduled to take place on 12th November, in the Community Centre. We have an abundance of Talent in our Community so why not “share” it . A great nights entertainment is guaranteed. For further information contact Richard Burke on 0872885637.

 

County Wicklow PPN (Public Partnership Net Work) Have funding available to assist Villages, Towns and Business  and Sporting Groups.  It’s vital for us to get together to submit a plan which will be beneficial to our Community. A Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 19th Oct 8pm.Our Group “Village Revitalisation Committee”. Your opinion would be welcome.

 

Ballymore Eustace to welcome Pieta House
At the Band hall on Wednesday, 12 October, 7.30pm. Both BME and Hollywood have witnessed the loss of many loved ones throughout the years to suicide. Each of these losses has had a huge impact on families and friends within our parish with many are still struggling to come to terms with their heartbreak. To support the community, Pieta House will come to Ballymore Eustace for an Information Evening on Wednesday, 12th October at the Band Hall, commencing at 7.30pm.

Hollywood Juvenile Badminton

Juvenile badminton starts back on 3rd October.  The following are class times; Monday 7-8pm 2nd and 3rd class. Tuesday 6-7pm 4th class, Tuesday 7-8pm 5th class, Wednesday 6-7pm 6th class, Wednesdays 7-8pm 1st year upwards.  New members welcome. Any queries to the secretary Áine Byrne on 087 9424335

Acorn’s Pre School Hollywood

Hollywood Bowls

The Club bowl every Tuesday & Friday nights in The Hollywood Centre between 8-10pm. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the Winter nights

 

Adult Badminton

Is back on Wednesday nights in the Hollywood Centre at 8pm. New members always welcome.

 

Hollywood NoName Club

The Hollywood NoName Club meet every Wednesday night at 8.00pm until 9.30pm. The club caters for 15-18 year old teenagers who wish to have fun with likeminded club members. Come along and see what it is all about.

 

Dunlavin Scout Group

We are currently recruiting new committed leaders for our troop from all local townlands. We are a volunteer based organisation, working with children. Full training is provided. If you think you would be interested in volunteering, please call 0862632859 for more information.

Set Dancing Classes

Set dancing has started back on Thursday nights at 8.15pm in the Hollywood G.A. A. club house. We need lots of feet on the floor to keep the dancing going. In charge of sets are Syl and Liz. Always a very enjoyable night.

Music Under The Mountain

Traditional Music Classes for children in the Hollywood Centre will resume on Saturday 24th of  September.

 

Friendship Club

Friendship Club meets Every Wednesday from 2.15pm to 4.15pm. New members always welcome, Please call in for a Game of Cards, Bingo, a chat and refreshments, your company is always appreciated. New members always welcome. We are 10 years formed since 13th September. Come along for a chat, a game of cards bingo and very important a cuppa.  See you Wednesday.

Hollywood GAA
Lotto Results: Numbers drawn were 2, 11, 14 & 20. No Jackpot winner. Sellers prizes goes to Lar Kelly.  €50 winners were-1. Robbie Keogh, Blessington no.787, 2. Anna Corrigan no.66, 3. Juvenile football training continues on Thursday nights at 7pm. Juvenile hurling training continues on Tuesday nights at 6.30pm. St. Kevin’s underage football fixtures, underage hurling fixtures and Go -Games fixtures are listed on the Hollywood GAA website.

Hollywood Fitness Classes

Kidz in Theatre

Adult Jive Classes

Adult Jive Classes every Saturday in modern Jive dance. Professional teachers will teach you all the moves, that will make your friends envious. The time is between 3-5pm and both singles & couples are welcome.

Another  Important Notice Please when collecting or bringing children to School or attending activities, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE your wallet, purse, handbag, phone or any item of value in your unattended Car/Jeep/Van.  There are thugs earning a “good living” out of our negligence.

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm.

The Doctor’s Clinic continues every Thursday morning from 9.30 -11.00am
