Trick or Treat on the Street Treasure Hunt Wicklow Town

This Halloween, dress up and take a stroll down Wicklow Town’s Main street for the towns annual Trick or Treat on the Street event, happening on Saturday 29th October 2016. The Foróige WAY Project is delighted to be hosting the fun event again this year.

Children (and parents) are invited to register at The Wicklow Gaol (Halpin’s Room) starting from 12pm until 2pm.

Once registered, you will receive a treasure trail, featuring approximately 15 stops (local businesses).  Children must answer a question before moving on to the next shop.  The route will lead them from The Wicklow Gaol through the town and once completed they will return to the starting point to receive their reward. (limited supply)

The Foróige WAY Project is a Garda Youth Diversion Project in Wicklow Town that works with over 30 young people weekly, to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and in the development of society.

The project works with young people aged 12-17 years and offers opportunities for education, employment training, health & wellbeing and other activities.  The projects seek to encourage a better quality of life for everyone in the community and to support good relations between the Gardaí, young people and the community.

The Foróige WAY Project would like to thank our sponsors, Earls Newsagents, Letsprint.ie, Powers Centra Rathnew, Wicklow Gaol, Jailer’s Rest and Butlers Medical Hall.  We would also like to thank all the businesses who are getting involved and making this event happen!

If you still have energy afterwards, The Wicklow Gaol will host spooky games in their main hall. Free entry to children under 4’s and a small charge for those over 4’s.
