Choral Evening
An evening of Christmas Songs from around the world will take place in St Nicholas Church of Ireland on December 4th at 7pm. The Milltown Singers and friends will host the evening. A great way to get into the festive season. Admission 410. Children Free. Proceeds to local charities.
Table Quiz
Donard /Glen camogie club will hold a table quiz in Toomey’s Donard on Saturday December 3rd at 9pm. Table of 4 €30. All support welcome.
Christmas Party
The active retirement party will take place in the Imaal Hall on Sunday November 27th at 2pm. Please make sure your neighbours have transport to and from the party.
Craft Fair
St. Laurence’s Annual Food Art & Craft Fair in aid of KARE and St. Laurence’s will take place this year on Sat Nov 26th 7pm-10pm and Sun Nov 27th 12-6pm. We are now taking bookings. We already have some stands booked which include lots of delicious food including gluten free options as well as Jewellery, flowers, chutneys & jams,Indian Cuisine,Crochet,handmade cards, wood turning and even craft Beer supplies. We look forward to having a lot of our regular attendees back but welcome new stands. Last year we had in excess of 50 stands and hope to have as many this year. Dunlavin District Forum – invites you to celebrate Christmas on the 3rd of December at 6pm in the Market house for a mulled wine and mince pie reception.
This will be followed by Christmas music and the turning on of the village Christmas lights and Christmas tree.
The Dunlavin Christmas Craft Market – will take place on Sunday the 4th of December in the Imaal hall, Dunlavin. Santa will also be there on the day. Please contact Bernie on 086 2872619 for stall bookings.
Scoil Niocláis Naofa – are hosting a welcome evening to acknowledge the retirement of Deirdre Doyle, after a 39-year teaching career in the school. This will take place in the school at 7pm on Thursday, December 1st. The school’s new library will be opened by Deirdre and refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
West Wicklow Day Care
The Christmas Tree Lighting carol service will take place on Sunday 4th December at 3pm in the hospital grounds. All are welcome to attend and take part in this service. You can shine a light in memory of Family and Friends no longer with us by sponsoring a light for €5 on the Christmas Tree. West Wicklow Cancer Support – The drop-in meeting on Thursday 24th November at 7.30pm in the Coimin Centre, Blessington, will include a talk by Liz Shine, a Dream Therapist. All are welcome and feel free to bring a friend.
