Dunlavin notes week November 7th

Dunlavin Flower and Garden Club

The November meeting will take place in the Jonathan Swift Hall on Wednesday November 9th at 8pm. A teaching night with a Christmas Theme will be given by Mary Flynn. All welcome. Supper served.


Sympathy is extended to the Kelly  family, Logatryna on the death  of their father Jim last week. Jim is mourned by his daughters Trish and Julie, sons Jimmy and Billy and many relatives and friends .Jim’s funeral took place in Dunlavin on Thursday November 3rd 2016.  May he rest in peace.

Advent Fare

The annual Grangebeg Camphill advent fare will take place on December 11th 2016 2pm to 5pm. All are welcome. Stalls €20.


West Wicklow Voluntary Day-Care Committee – will hold their Annual General Meeting in the Day Care Centre at Baltinglass Hospital on Wednesday 9th November at 8.30pm. All members of the public welcome to attend.


St. Kevin’s Community College – will celebrate its 50th birthday this year. The celebrationwill take place on Saturday, Nov 19th at 7pm in the school. Past pupils are asked to spread the word to former pupils. Old photographs relating to St. Kevin’s are also required. These photographs can be left into the school office they will be photocopied and returned. A social night will take place in Rathsallagh Golf Club following the formal part of the evening in the school. For more details, contact 0879693960.


Dunlavin Playschool – require old boots/Wellington boots for a project. If you have any available, please drop them into the Playschool. Thank you.


Sympathy – is extended to the family of Jim Toomey, Logatryna who died last week.  Jim who was predeceased by his wife Sheila is mourned by his daughters Mary and Catherine, son James, sister Anne and many relatives and friends. Jim’s funeral Mass took place in Dunlavin on Saturday November 5th 2016 and burial took place in Gormanstown Cemetery. May he rest in peace.


Remembrance Mass – Our Remembrance Mass will take place this year on Tuesday, 15th November, 2016 at 8.00pm Mass.


Team Hope Shoebox Appeal – if anyone would like to fill a shoebox for Team Hope Christmas appeal you can drop them into the Parish Office, Scoil Niocláis Naofa or contact Shona on 087-6884879 up to the beginning of November. Further details are on the Church notice board. Thank you in advance.
