Santa will come all the way from the North Pole on Saturday the 26th November to perform the turning on of the Christmas Lights in Wicklow Town.

Every year thousands of children and their parents arrive in Fitzwilliam Square to start the magic of Christmas in Wicklow Town. It creates a great family atmosphere and helps kick start the ship local campaign which for the second consecutive year is being supported by a major promotion organised by local retailers.

This much anticipated event is organised every year by the Wicklow Town & District Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber very much appreciates the support given to the event by Wicklow Municipal Council.

Santa will turn on the lights at 4.30pm and there will be music provided to ensure that the gathering thousands are entertained while they wait for the arrival of Santa Claus.

Santa is delighted to confirm that he will be in Wicklow Gaol to meet the children of the town on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon to 3.30pm commencing from Saturday 3rd of December. Santa will provide a final opportunity for children to meet him on Friday the 23rd of December from 4.30pm to 6.30pm and he will then head back to the North Pole to finish his preparations to make deliveries on Christmas Eve.
