Talks today between the ASTI and the Department of Education have ended without agreement.
The Department of Education says it has been told that about 400 schools will be closed tomorrow, affecting approximately 200,000 students.
The ASTI said it is regrettable that tomorrow’s planned withdrawal from supervision and substitution will go ahead despite the union’s participation in talks.
The union said that no progress has been made on key issues.
Coláiste Chill Mhantáin will be open while the CBS and St.Mary’s in Arklow will be closed.
We will post the information on which schools are open or closed as we get it.
