We had no jackpot winners in our Club Lotto this week! Numbers drawn were 3, 9, 14 and 19. The bonus number was 22. We had two Match three winners – Ben Kelly c/o Ta Se’s and Stephen Kenny c/o P. Dowling’s.
Thanks to the weekly Club Lotto Sellers who give up their time to help raise funds for the Club. It’s greatly appreciated. Make sure you buy a ticket each week and you could be the winner of our Match 4 prize €2,500 or Match 5 €10,000 jackpot!
Our sincere condolences to the family of Jim Connors whose funeral took place last Saturday. Jim’s hurling career with club and county was cut short when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Jim came up through the juvenile ranks in St. Patrick’s. In our first year back in adult hurling, Captain Jim’s inspirational displays from centre back played a huge part in leading St. Pats to Intermediate Championship success in 2011 and promotion to Senior Hurling. In 2011 Jim was fully deserving of the County Intermediate Hurler of the year and St. Patrick’s Club Hurler of the year. Jim made his senior debut for the Garden County as an 18-year-old and quickly became a defensive lynchpin, playing in two Christy Ring Cup finals in Croke Park against Kerry and London, and winning three Allianz League titles. Jim’s attitude and commitment was an inspiration to his colleagues. Jim had a very personable personality and was popular with the other players as indicated by the number of playing colleagues from Club and County who provided the Guard of Honour on Saturday to Dunbur on Jim’s final journey.
Jim an absolute gentleman off the field and a hero on it. Wicklow have lost one of the true greats.
