Cat lovers throughout Wicklow are invited to what promises to be a purrfect night out at the Harbour Bar in Bray on Tuesday 22nd November at 7.30pm.
Greystones Kitty Hostel has carried out an invaluable Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) service on the feral cats of Wicklow and beyond for many years and is in desperate need of funds to continue this important work.
With over 20,000 cats living wild in Ireland, TNR is a humane and responsible way to deal with the issue without impacting on domestic animals in any way.
The tireless Greystones Kitty Hostel volunteers visit areas where there is a known feral colony or stray cats, trap the animals humanely and then take them to the vet to be neutered. Following release the cats are unable to breed and live better quality lives while the cat population reduces slowly and naturally.
Funding is desperately needed to cover vet expenses, food, litter, cleaning materials, equipment and transport costs. Greystones Kitty Hostel volunteers are hoping that people looking to get into the Christmas spirit will come along to their mega table quiz on Tuesday 22nd November and help a great cause while having festive fun.
Local businesses can also play their part by donating prizes that can be raffled on the quiz night.
