TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
On Sunday December 11 the walk is in the Blackstairs (Grade B 10k approx, 3 hours approx). Meeting in Tinahely at 10.30 (or 11.00 in Bunclody). On Sunday December 18 the walk is the annual “mince–pie” affair at Stookeen, Shillelagh. This will be a C walk of about 2.5 hours. Time to be confirmed but we are planning the option of going for lunch afterwards. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.
SANTA CLAUS
Santa Claus is coming to Carnew on Sunday 18th December from 5-7pm in Colaiste Bhride Carnew admission €5 per child, €10 per family, all proceeds towards the Back Alley fund, all welcome to come along.
SPLIT THE POT
The winner of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the Pot was Hazel Bollard winning €232, tickets on sale from the school and local shops, thanks to everyone for their support to date.

Foroige club are having a Christmas market on Sunday 11th December from 11am – 4pm in Colaiste Bhride Carnew, all welcome to come along and support the local groups.
FOOTBALL AGM
Carnew ladies football club are holding their AGM on Friday 16th December in The Lodge Carnew at 8pm, anyone interested in joining the club or wanting to coach a team should attend on the night, all welcome and as always your support is greatly appreciated.
CHARITY WALK, CAR, TRACTOR AND LORRY RUN
A charity walk, car, tractor and lorry run will take place on Sunday 1st January 2017 from Carnew mart, registration from 11.30am, starting at 12.30pm, walkers €10, cars, tractors and lorries €20, refreshments afterwards in Colaiste Bhride, For enquiries contact John Somers 0876578761. All proceeds in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, this trust aims to alleviate the financial hardships of bereaved families repatriating the body of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
PENITENTIAL SERVICES
The Penitential service in Askamore is on Wednesday 14th December at 7pm and in kilrush on Thursday 15th at 7pm.

The Kilrush/Askamore GAA club are holding their AGM on Sunday 11th December at 5pm, the official opening of the club extension takes palce at 2pm.
