A fire occurred this morning (Monday) at a warehouse at South Quay, Arklow.
A number of appliances from the Arklow, Wicklow and Rathdrum Fire Stations attended the fire.
The situation at 14.00pm is that the fire is under control and is being dampened down.
Senior Council Environmental/Fire Services personnel, along with members of An Garda Siochana, remain on site. The area is currently closed off.
Wicklow County Council is currently communicating with both the EPA and HSE in relation to this matter.
The situation continues to be closely monitored.
