Couch to 5km

A new session of couch to 5km has commenced for January. If you are interested in getting fit and meeting new friends please come along to St. Kevin’s Community College on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. Cost is free.


Sympathy is extended to the O’Byrne Family , Cowpasture  on the death of Margaret’s father Pat Brady who passed away in Sligo. May Pat  rest in peace.

Arts Festival 2017

A meeting to commence organising the Arts festival for 2017 will take place on January 19th at 12 Noon in Dunlavin Inn. Anyone wishing to get involved is welcome to come along. The committee are always seeking new ideas. Festival 2017 takes place June 16th 17th and 18th 2017.

Meals on Wheels

Thanks to all who donated treats to the Meals on Wheels over the Christmas Period. This was very much appreciated. If anyone knows of someone living on their own who would like to receive the meals on a Tuesday please contact 0879693960.


Sympathy is extended to the Corrigan family, Church Road on the death of their sister Margaret (Ciss). Margaret passed away in England but her funeral took place in Dunlavin on Saturday January 14th 2017. May she Rest in Peace.

Daycare Concert

A concert in aid of Baltinglass Daycare centre will take place in Germaine’s Baltinglass on Friday February 10th 2017 at 8pm. The Willoughby Brothers will perform.Cost €20.


Used Postage Stamps 

Please keep your used postage stamps from all your Christmas post for St. Patrick’s Missions, Kiltegan who can use them to fundraise. Used stamps can be dropped into the parish office anytime. Thank you to all who have donated stamps throughout the past year.


1916 DVD

Dunlavin Remembers 1916 DVD – is now on sale for €6 each. It looks back at the highlights of a fantastic day in our village. Contact Antoinette on 087-6793588 or Jimmy on 087-2730238 to order. A limited number are available. Great present for loved ones living abroad


Community Games

Westside Community Games – will continue this year with the smallest committee yet. The committee would be extremely grateful of any help, however small from the parents of children wishing to take part in any activities. A General Maintenance Caretaker – is required for the Imaal Hall, Dunlavin.  To qualify for this position, you must be in receipt of a Social Welfare payment for a least a year and be over 25 years of age. Dunlavin’s Friendship Club – is back on Fridays at 2.30pm. Please tell family and friends. New members welcome. If you have a neighbour that might like to attend maybe offer to drive them in.
