East Coast FM news reports Irish Water will commence site investigation work today on the Wicklow Water Mains Rehabilitation Project.
The company says the project will see the replacement of 20 kilometers of old water mains to improve the water pressure and quality to homes and businesses.
It also includes the replacement of around 750 shared backyard service connections.
Irish Water says Traffic management measures will be in place during the works and local access will be maintained at all times.
Site investigation works will be carried out at 40 locations in Arklow town, 6 in Glenealy, 6 in Rathdrum and 2 in Blessington and are expected to take seven months to complete:
